Oh Charlotte. Mrs Chawky and I despair of you ever settling down. Can't you get this adventure/wanderlust out of your soul? Maybe August will do it for you.
Mrs Chawky had had 3 kids at your age!
Dont know why you want to go foreign parts anyway - nothing wrong with a stroll across the South Downs or clambering across the beach at Slapton. The locals take our real money and the food is ok - no locusts and bugs and beetles in pepper sauce!! Cream teas are damn expensive tho!!
have fun and stay safe.
Hee, hee!! I haven't really travelled at all yet, silly!! And I feel awful at work, so I'm off!!
Et Sebastien, j'ai etudié le langue français depuis longtemps (pour mon licence), j'ai pas trop besoin de l'etudier mais je dois refraichir mes connaissances, oui, tout à fait!
Where are you travelling?France?I like the way your blog is written, its fast and funny. As for the pension...forget it...spend it on travelling now...how hard can it be to work in a patisserie when you are 65?
Thanks for the flattery - keep it coming!!! No, really, I'll be off to a secret destination, I can't say where cos I've posted my pic & ppl know my name - I don't want stalkers!!! Let's just say it isn't France and it's near enough to the equator!!
France will be the last country on the list & it will probably be to emigrate - the icing on the cake of a very long journey, I hope! Feel like opening a patisserie with me when you're 65???!!! Sounds like a damn good idea! Just so long as you don't have 2 heads and wear socks and sandals, it could be v cool! Ha ha! Mainly joking, but you never know...!
Take care & thanks for your comment.

Great, thats my career sorted...now I have 33 years to arse around doing nothing. You've solved all my problems.Just one thing, whats wrong with socks and sandles?I thought I was the height of fashion....tres fashionable on the continent (I take it you're not going to Germany then?)
hey charlotte.
how are ya darling, by that blog, things sound like they are going really well for ya, its wonderful..
thanks fr all your comments, you've been great. glad things are going well for you..
take care joei xx.
The sun is shining...but are you wearing your socks and sandals?!!!
No, they is utterly not cool, even if it is 'cosmopolitan', no-one is going to dress my dainty little toes in those libido-sapping sox & sandals!!! but you go ahead!
Joie - I hope your exams went well, my fingers are crossed for you!
cheers, hopefully last minute revsion will help in someway, if your off travelling wil you still be able to post?
So it's true after all Charlotte, you're coming to New York! Well we'll show you a good time. As you know I run around with a crowd of swells here and every night is a party. By the way, I'm here now with Sophie (one of the gang - you'll meet her) and she's wearing socks with sandals and actually, they're quite fetching. Mind you, they are strappy stilettos in gold over little baby doll socks with a lace trim and they set off her velour running shorts and matching hoodie splendidly. Sophie works over at Glamour magazine where (she says) they make the rules.
Look forward to seeing you.

p.s. call first
Ha ha! Thanks for the invite! I've always wanted to hail a yellow cab like they do in Hollywood films - I'm not sure NY is in my budget tho!! I'm more looking at Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Chile...!
But velour shorts - no way! That awful J Lo look is sooo out, puleeese! But i guess if you have a good figure you can get away with anything, even velour (choke , splutter!)But did you know hoodies are being banned at a huge shopping centre here as they're 'intimidating'?!! Ha, ha what a joke!
Tant pis.

C'est interdit, l'hoodie! Quel horreur! Next they'll ban mojitos! Thanks for the recipe btw, I've already requested that from now on it be included on my breakfast tray.
I'm am so jealous! but admire your courage for being able to embark on such a wonderful adventure.
Have a whale of a time!
